August Abundance

Is it fair to write an August gratitude post at the very beginning of August?

Yes, absolutely.

Why not begin the month with gratitude
intentions?

Instead of waiting until the end of the month to reflect on what we're thankful for, we can ask ourselves right now, on this August 3rd, 2026:

What do I hope to be grateful for by the time August comes to a close?
What kind of person do I want to be this month?
What moments do I hope to create?

In my world, August is a busy month full of birthdays - back to back to back - which means celebrations, gathering around the table, and yes, a little extra spending (both time and money!). I plan to spend more time than usual noticing the little things people like so I can choose gifts that feel especially personal and meaningful. I'm looking forward to the nourishing sense of community that comes with being surrounded by family and friends in a festive way: the laughter, the warmth, the energetic conversations, the delicious food and sweets, and the shared memories that seem to find us every August.

More than anything, this month I plan to be more fully present for it all. I will put my phone away, slow down, zoom in, notice the little moments, and give the people in front of me my full attention.

This month, I will show up with even more joy and vitality. I will bring positivity wherever I go, in work and in play (especially in work), while still staying true to myself. I will stay curious with the people I care about: to ask thoughtful questions, to listen deeply, and to help people feel genuinely seen, cherished, and appreciated. Most of all, I'd love for the people around me to walk away feeling just a little more loved because we spent time together. A lot more preferably!

By the end of August, I will be grateful for the way I showed up - with extra curiosity, kindness, presence, and love.

Yay for August. It feels full of possibility!

Your turn now. What are your gratitude intentions for August?

xoxo
