The Road Built by Uranus

It's a season of endings and beginnings. A time of new experiences, discoveries, growth, and expansion. You may find yourself doing things you never imagined possible and making choices that completely surprise you.

It's your Uranus opposition Uranus transit.

In this personal transit, you might find yourself in the process of connections ending, long-held belief systems being challenged, and jobs and life paths that once felt secure no longer fitting who you're becoming
. At this time, life simply won’t let you hold onto anything that doesn’t serve who you’re becoming.

The Uranus opposition transit is one of the most significant astrological milestones of midlife that everyone will go through. Occurring for most in their early 40s, it marks a period of  liberation, and personal transformation. This is when Uranus - the planet of awakening, unpredictability, and change - crosses the exact opposite sign of where it was at the time of your birth.

As you can imagine, this can be a BIG TIME awakening and upheaval in your life. If you haven't gone through it yet, p
repare yourself by learning exactly when your personal Uranus transit will occur. Having some awareness of what's ahead can make the experience feel much more grounded, purposeful, and fun!

I went into it with absolutely no knowledge of what was happening. Looking back, I can see how accurately it played out. I surprised myself over and over again. I moved my life in directions I truly never would have predicted.

I can honestly say it was one of the most transformative periods of my life thus far. There were endings, beginnings, unexpected turns, and tremendous change in all areas. I discovered parts of myself that had been waiting years to emerge, and on the other side of it all, I'm happier than I've ever been in my life!

Uranus is a partner in creating something fresh, beautiful, authentic, and positive.

The Three Waves

Typically, the Uranus opposition Uranus transit occurs in three waves: Uranus moving forward, Uranus retrograding, and Uranus moving forward again. Everyone’s experience will be different depending on their placement and timing, but I’ve found that there is usually a similar pattern to the three waves. Here’s what you can typically expect:

Wave One: The Awakening

On the first pass, you may start feeling restless. Things that used to feel solid start to feel shaky. You might start questioning relationships, careers, goals, routines, or even your identity. You may meet someone new, become interested in new ideas, or new opportunities may arise. Seeds of change are planted. You may just get a feeling that something in your life needs to change.

Wave Two: The Upheaval

Usually the second pass (while Uranus is retrograde) is the biggest wave of the experience. What was questioned during the first wave can no longer be ignored. Big changes are usually made during this time. Relationships are ended, careers are changed, businesses are started, people move, beliefs are shattered. Life may feel chaotic during this time. But underneath the madness is the part of Uranus that empowers you to eliminate everything that isn’t serving you and be who you truly are.

Wave Three: The Integration

Wave three, you begin to feel at home in your new life and understand why the chaos was necessary. Whatever lessons this transit brings become integrated into your life and you come out feeling stronger and more authentically yourself.

Directly after your Uranus opposition is your Saturn opposition. Uranus builds the new road, and Saturn paves it!
