Pasta From Fruit

There's pasta made from beans (chickpeas), roots (cassava) - and of course, grains, but did you know they make pasta from fruit?!

Recently, I visited Whole Foods and discovered a fusili made from green bananas. It cooks up dense and chewy with a slightly sweet taste. The company also offers green banana flour for baking.

It turns out green bananas can aid in digestion, support immune system, and blood sugar. The small box of banana fusili contains 90% of the recommended daily value of iron; 70% potassium and 15% of calcium! Sounds almost too good to be true, doesn't it?

Next up: apple pasta!
